SALONE DEL MOBILE 2026: PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

The 2026 edition marks a landmark year for the fair, bringing back two of its most highly awaited biennial showcases: EuroCucina (alongside FTK – Technology For the Kitchen) and the International Bathroom Exhibition. After a two-year absence, both return with a sharper focus and a renewed sense of purpose. EuroCucina positions the kitchen as a living technological ecosystem, shaped by the growing influence of artificial intelligence, smart appliances, and biophilic design principles that blur the boundary between nature and the built environment. The International Bathroom Exhibition, meanwhile, moves beyond mere functionality to envision the domestic bathroom as a personal sanctuary — a space devoted to wellness rituals, longevity, and a slower, more intentional way of living.

Debuting in hall 11, Salone Raritas introduces an entirely new dimension of exclusivity to the fair. Under the careful curation of Annalisa Rosso and with exhibition design conceived by Formafantasma, this thoughtfully assembled atlas of collectible design brings together unique works and limited-edition pieces from 25 galleries worldwide, among them renowned names such as Nilufar and Salviati. Salone Raritas positions itself not simply as an exhibition, but as a curated encounter between makers, collectors, and institutions — a space where design is understood as both cultural artifact and investment.

Completing the 2026 program, SaloneSatellite marks its 27th edition with a renewed commitment to craftsmanship and creative innovation. Led once again by Marva Griffin Wilshire, the platform brings together 700 designers under the age of 35 alongside 23 schools from across the globe, creating one of the fair's most forward-looking and internationally diverse stages. This year's theme invites a deep reexamination of making by hand — reframing artisanal practice not only as a link to cultural heritage, but as a deliberate, forward-looking, and politically conscious response to the industrialized future of design. In doing so, SaloneSatellite empowers a new generation to reclaim the act of making as both a creative discipline and a meaningful statement about how we want to shape the world around us.
